Retirement Voices: Stories of Reinvention, Purpose, and Possibility

One of the most meaningful projects I’ve been part of lately is Retirement Voices: Stories of Reinvention, Purpose, and Possibility. My chapter describes a reflective writing practice that helps people slow down, listen to themselves more closely, and explore what they want from life after work. I’m grateful to be included in a collection that broadens the retirement conversation beyond finances. Below is a summary of the book, published by the Retirement Coaches Association, and link to order it if you’d like to explore more.

In Retirement Voices: Stories of Reinvention, Purpose, and Possibility, retirement coaches, thought leaders, and transition experts share powerful stories, professional insights, and life lessons gathered from their own journeys and from the countless individuals they have guided through this pivotal life transition.

Their collective wisdom provides an invitation that:

  • Re-imagines what retirement can look like today
  • Discovers new sources of purpose, identity, and fulfillment
  • Builds confidence and clarity for navigating life’s next chapter
  • Challenges outdated assumptions about aging and retirement
  • Creates a future aligned with your values, passions, and aspirations

Most importantly, these voices are not here to tell you what retirement should be. They are here to help you discover your own. Because the most meaningful retirement is not built by following someone else’s plan. It is created when you have the courage to listen to your own voice and intentionally design a life that is authentically, purposefully, and uniquely yours.
